Every Digital Event Leaves a Trail. One Wrong Move Can Erase It.
A critical file vanishes. A business account suddenly gets used by someone else. A photo or document starts circulating and its authenticity is questioned. Or something strange happens in your systems, and nobody can say exactly what.
In moments like these, the most important question isn't "whose fault is it?" It's "what actually happened, and what can still be saved?"
I help read the digital traces on devices, accounts, and files that belong to you, and report my findings in a clear, honest technical report.
Table of Contents
What People Are Afraid Of
- Important files deleted or a device failing, and every minute it stays in use can overwrite data that could still be saved
- A hacked account, website, or device, with no idea how the intruder got in, what was taken, or whether the door is still open
- A photo, video, or document whose authenticity is being questioned, with no way to show what's true
- Strange events in internal systems, with no clear record of who did what, and when
- Handing a device full of personal data to someone untrustworthy, or to a service that ends up overwriting the traces that remain
Now Imagine If...
- You know exactly what happened instead of guessing or suspecting
- Valuable data you thought was gone for good turns out to be recoverable
- Security gaps get closed precisely, not with a password change and a hopeful shrug
- You can answer questions about a file's authenticity with a technical basis, not a feeling
- You make decisions calmly, backed by findings you can explain
The fear of losing control over your own digital assets, and the need to understand events clearly: these are the two forces that make digital forensics too important to delay or leave to guesswork.
What I Do
- Forensic-method data recovery: deleted or corrupted data (logical recovery) is examined carefully to give recovery the best possible chance
- Authenticity verification of photos, videos, and documents: metadata checks and indications of manipulation, including signs of AI generation
- Incident analysis for accounts, websites, or devices you own: hacked, infected with malware, or leaking data. How did it happen, and what did it affect?
- Internal activity audits: reading logs and file histories on systems you own or lawfully manage, with the system owner's knowledge
The result is a technical report for your own use, written so you can understand it, not just a wall of jargon.
Built for small businesses and startups, newsrooms, NGOs, and researchers.
You can send files, disk images, or logs by email or WhatsApp. Physical media can also be sent by international post to our office; we share the shipping address once your quote is approved. Shipping, customs duties, and transit risk are your responsibility.
Before you contact me, a few safe first steps: stop using the affected device or media, don't format or reinstall anything, and don't save new files to it. The less it's used, the better the chances that the data and its traces survive.
Honesty and Limits
This service is defensive: it helps you understand what happened to your own digital assets. So you know exactly where you stand:
About me:
- I have hands-on experience in this field, but I am not certified in digital forensics.
- My report is a technical report for your own use, not court evidence.
- There is no guarantee that data can be recovered or that anyone can be identified. Findings follow the evidence, plainly reported.
- Checks for AI manipulation or tampering are indicative, not absolute verdicts.
- Physically failed drives that need cleanroom repair are outside my scope. I handle logical recovery only.
What I don't accept:
- Matters likely to carry criminal-law implications. If your case is, or may become, a criminal matter, contact law enforcement or a certified forensic lab or expert.
- Any request to monitor or spy on a person or organization without their knowledge
- Material that is pornographic or sexually explicit in nature
What I require:
- The device, account, or system must be yours or under your lawful authority. I'll ask for a declaration of ownership or authorization before work begins.
- Where you and your devices are located matters. In some jurisdictions (certain US states, for example), digital forensic work legally requires a private investigator or forensic examiner license, which I do not hold. I don't take engagements where the client, or the device or data, is in such a jurisdiction. I'll ask where you are before accepting any work, and you are responsible for confirming that engaging this service is lawful where you are.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between digital forensics and ordinary data recovery?
Ordinary data recovery focuses on getting files back. Digital forensics also reads the traces behind the files, such as when and how something happened, and reports it in a structured way.
Can your report be used as evidence in court?
No. My report is a technical report for your own use, not court evidence. If your matter may become a criminal case, contact law enforcement or a certified forensic lab or expert.
Are you certified in digital forensics?
Not yet. I have hands-on experience in this field but no forensic certification, and I'd rather say so upfront.
What should I do when a device or account has a problem?
Stop using the affected device or media, don't format or reinstall, and don't save new files to it. Then get in touch.
Can deleted data always be recovered?
There's no guarantee. The chances depend on the condition of the media and how much has already been overwritten. Either way, you'll get the result reported plainly.
Can you tell whether a photo or video is AI-generated or edited?
The examination gives technical indications, not absolute certainty. Results are reported along with the evidence behind them.
Do you work with clients in every country?
Not necessarily. Some jurisdictions, certain US states for example, require a private investigator or forensic examiner license for this kind of work, which I do not hold. I'll ask where you and your devices are located before accepting any engagement.
Can I mail you a physical device?
Yes. Physical media can be sent by international post. Shipping, customs duties, and transit risk are your responsibility, and the shipping address is shared once your quote is approved.
Can you help me track or monitor someone secretly?
No. I don't accept requests to monitor or spy on any person or organization without their knowledge.
Is my data safe and confidential?
Yes. Data is used only for the task at hand, never shared with third parties, and source files are deleted after the project unless you ask otherwise. An NDA is available on request.
How does payment work?
Billed once the quote is approved, before work begins. We accept Wise, RIA Money Transfer, Touch 'n Go eWallet, Topremit, or Remitly.
Now It's Your Turn
